Crystal Palace will kick-off life without now-Arsenal star Eberechi Eze against Nottingham Forest at Selhurst Park on Sunday afternoon. As reported, the Gunners completed their £67.5million swoop for the England playmaker on Saturday afternoon - and he was unveiled on the pitch before a 5-0 demolition of Leeds United.
Eze sent an emotional message to Palace supporters on social media when the deal was rubber-stamped. But his former employers will have no time to dwell as they get straight back to Premier League duty without him.
Palace head into their first home game of the 2025/26 campaign on the back of a creditable 0-0 draw at Chelsea, while Forest were 3-1 winners against Brentford. Chris Wood fired a double in that victory and he will, naturally, be one-to-watch for Liverpool-linked Marc Guehi and his defensive colleagues.
