2025 Tata Altroz launch on this date: What to expect from updated Hyundai i20 rival

Tata Motors is gearing up to launch the much-anticipated refreshed version of its premium hatch Altroz on May 22. This will be the first facelift for the popular premium hatchback since its debut in 2020. While the engine options will remain unchanged, the 2025 iteration will introduce significant upgrades to both the exterior and interior. Here’s a look at what we can expect from the upcoming model. The Tata Altroz will continue to rival the likes of Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Toyota Glanza and Hyundai i20.

2025 Tata Altroz Facelift: What to expect
On the outside, the facelifted Altroz will sport a redesigned front end with a sleeker grille, updated LED headlamps, repositioned DRLs, and new alloy wheels. The rear, too, is expected to receive subtle changes.

Inside the cabin, a two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo will be the centrepiece of the dashboard, joined by a larger touchscreen infotainment system featuring a new user interface. The cabin layout is set to be refreshed with a redesigned dashboard, new aircon controls, and an updated centre console.


The feature list is expected to grow as well. We can expect ventilated front seats, a 360-degree camera system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay integration for the infotainment system, and more. The hatchback may also come equipped with six airbags as standard.

Under the hood, however, the Altroz facelift will stick to the existing powertrains. These include the 1.2-litre NA petrol, 1.2-litre turbo petrol, and the 1.5-litre diesel engine. The CNG variant, using a twin-cylinder setup, will also continue to be offered. Gearbox options will likely include a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic, depending on the variant.
