New Delhi: Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Tuesday said that Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi should apologise to the people of Bihar for inviting Telangana chief minister Revanth Reddy to their 'Voter Adhikar Yatra'.

Pradhan was in Patna on Tuesday to participate in a convocation programme at IIT Patna.

Later in the day he addressed a 'Youth Dialogue' organised by the BJP Yuva Morcha.

The Union minister was in Bihar on the same day as Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi joined her brother Rahul Gandhi in the Voter Adhikar Yatra in Supaul.

"Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi should apologise to the people of Bihar. Revanth Reddy had said the DNA of Bihar is inferior. RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, who is with them in the yatra, should also apologise," Pradhan said in his speech at Youth Dialogue.

Reddy said in December 2023 that his predecessor K Chandrasekar Rao, the BRS president, had a Bihari DNA, which was not of the same quality as Telangana DNA.

Pradhan also alleged that the opposition INDIA bloc in Bihar was spreading false rumours of vote theft as actual vote theft used to take place in the state during RJD rule.
