After the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, on 22 April, the debate over the release of films of Pakistani actors in India has intensified. The question is being raised whether the thinking like 'Art knows no border' still applies today, when the country is in mourning?

Pakistani actor Fawad Khan's film 'Abir Gulaal' was to be released on 9 May, but after the attack, its release was banned. This was the turning point when this issue gained more importance.
On one hand, senior actor Prakash Raj is openly opposing this ban and believes that this decision should be left to the public. On the other hand, actor Sharad Kelkar says that when it comes to the country, it is right to keep art behind.
Sharad Kelkar's blunt answer - 'One should stand with the decision of the country'
In this entire controversy, Sharad Kelkar said a balanced thing while supporting the government. Talking to Amar Ujala, he clearly said, 'We are artists, but when the country is in trouble, our first responsibility is to stand with the country. What happens many times? The political scenario and those who are running the country understand those things better than us. We should respect their decisions. Perhaps they understand politics and global conditions better. They have more experience than us.'
He further said, 'As artists, we talk emotionally, but we take decisions after thinking. So we should respect their decisions. This is the government's decision, and we should stand with the country.'
This statement is being considered a strong reply to those artists who always talk about 'Art knows no borders'.
During the conversation, Sharad said that those who did wrong to us, especially those terrorists, should get an education.
Prakash Raj said, 'It is wrong to ban Fawad Khan's film'
A few days ago, when Prakash Raj expressed his opinion on this issue, he said, 'It is not right to ban Fawad Khan's film in India. If the film is released first, the audience will decide whether they support films with Pakistani actors or not. It should be allowed to be decided by the audience.'
A heated debate has started on social media regarding this statement of Prakash Raj. Many users reminded him that when the country is in mourning and anger, arguing for freedom of art can hurt people's emotions.
'Jai Bhavani Jai Shivaji' echoed in the tune of patriotism.
Let us tell you, Sharad Kelkar's new Hindi music video 'Jai Bhavani Jai Shivaji' has been released, which is dedicated to the courage and ideology of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.

Regarding this song, Sharad said, 'Many great songs have been made on Shivaji Maharaj in Marathi, but such a grand song has never come in Hindi before. When this project came to me, I felt that it was not just a song but a duty.'
He further added, 'We cannot reach the level of Shivaji Maharaj, but we can reach his footsteps. The emotion and energy that Kailash Kher has given to the song makes it more special. It is not just for Maharashtra, it is made for the whole of India.'
The song has been shot on a large scale and the bravery and vision of Maharaj has been depicted in it.
