We clean our house every day, especially mopping the floor is a common routine. But have you ever thought that the way and direction in which you mop can also affect the energy and financial condition of your house? According to Vastu Shastra, if the direction and method of mopping are correct, then not only positive energy remains in the house, but the house's treasury also remains full. On the other hand, mopping from the wrong direction can lead to loss of money in the house and can also increase mental stress. Let's know from Astrologer Dr. Gaurav Dixit…

In Vastu Shastra, four directions - North, South, East and West have special importance. Each direction is associated with a special energy. From the point of view of wealth and prosperity, the North direction is considered the most auspicious, because this direction is considered to be the direction of Kubera, who is the god of wealth. Similarly, the East direction is the direction of the Sun, which is a symbol of life energy and progress. Therefore, mopping should always be started from the southwest corner (called Nairitya Kon) and it should be taken towards the northeast direction (Ishaan Kon). This means that the bucket or mug in which you keep water should be kept in the south-west direction and while mopping, slowly move towards the north-east direction.
This change of direction helps in removing negative energy and increasing the flow of positive energy. When you move from the south-west corner to the north-east corner while mopping, evil forces leave the house and auspicious energy related to wealth enters the house. This maintains mental peace and improves mutual coordination among the members of the house.
Vastu experts believe that the water of the mop should never be spilled around the place of worship, kitchen, or safe. These places should be kept pure and clean. Apart from this, if you add a little salt or cow urine to the water of the mop, then it is considered even more effective. Salt works to draw out negative energy and purifies the environment.
Another thing to note is that always keep the cloth used for mopping clean and separate. Using dirty or torn clothes can lead to poverty entering the house. Mopping should be done with salt water at least once a week, especially on Tuesdays and Saturdays, as these days are considered special for eliminating negative energy.

Thus, even a simple thing like mopping can bring happiness, peace, wealth, and positive energy to your house if done according to Vastu Shastra. So next time when you clean the house, then not just clean the floor, but also brighten your luck, just keep the direction in mind.
