Emraan Hashmi starrer Ground Zero was released on Friday. The film received mixed to positive reviews from the critics, and the word of mouth has also been quite good. However, the positive response failed to give the film a boost on day 1. The movie on its day one collected Rs. 1.15 crore which is quite less. The movie needs to show a miraculous jump at the box office over the weekend.
If we talk about day 2, looking at the current trend, it is expected that the movie will show minimal growth in numbers. For now, it looks like the film might collect around Rs. 1.50- 1.70 crore. However, if there’s a good jump during the evening and night shows, then Ground Zero might cross the Rs. 2 crore mark, which will surely be a good jump.
The pre-release buzz of Ground Zero was quite less, so it was expected that the movie will take a low start at the box office. However, a big jump on Saturday and Sunday is required for the film to collect a decent amount over the weekend.
Kesari Chapter 2 Vs Ground Zero Box Office Collection
Meanwhile, Kesari Chapter 2, on its second Friday collected better than Ground Zero. The Akshay Kumar starrer collected Rs. 4.05 crore at the box office on its day 8, taking the till date total to Rs. 50.15 crore.
It is expected that Kesari 2 will show a good jump at the box office on Saturday, and Sunday. By the end of its second weekend, the movie will collect around Rs. 60 crore plus.
Jaat Box Office Collection
Meanwhile, Jaat on its day 16 collected Rs. 90 lakh, taking the total to Rs. 81.65 crore. The film might end its theatrical run with a collection of around Rs. 87-90 crore.
