A shocking incident of honor killing has been reported from Pakistan's Balochistan. According to reports, a couple was executed by the woman's family after she got married to a man against the family's wishes.
The gruesome crime was captured on video and has gone viral on social media since.
The viral video shows a woman being shot dead by her brother in the presence of several men in a deserted area.
Several vehicles and over 20 men can be seen at the scene. Syed Adnan Kakakhail, Pakistani Sunni Muslim scholar, columnist and author, has condemned the incident in strong words.
Taking to X, he wrote, "A video has gone viral showing a married couple being brutally killed by firing in front of a public gathering for entering into a love marriage. The condemnation of this savage, cruel, and chilling murder and this ignorant mindset cannot be strong enough. Such killings in the name of honor are in no way permissible in religion and sharia. Serious efforts must be made to rid society of this ignorance. The tribal council that made this decision and all those involved in this barbaric act must be brought to justice and given the harshest punishments."

The video of the barbaric killing has stirred outrage on social media with many users condemning the brutality in the name of honor and demanding justice for the victims.
However, it is still not known when the incident took place, and the identities of the victims have also not been revealed.
