One Coronation Street storyline might not go the way viewers are expecting, a star has revealed.
Betsy Swain actress Sydney Martin has spilled that "juicy" scenes are ahead for the Becky Swain storyline, as she suggested it might not go the way fans fear it will. Just weeks ago, Betsy's mother Becky returned from the dead, four years after her apparent demise.
Becky shocked her 'widow' Lisa Swain with her comeback, claiming to have been in hiding in Spain for the protection of her family. Amid theories swirling about whether there's more to what her and DI Costello have claimed, we've seen Becky causing drama for Lisa and her fiancée Carla Connor.
But with the pair staying united, Becky's hopes to get her family back seem to have been unsuccessful for now. Speaking exclusively to The Mirror, actress Sydney hinted there was more to come.

Sharing her reaction to the news Becky would debut on the soap, she shared her initial reservations but revealed how thrilled she is with the plot. Praising her co-star Amy Cudden for her portrayal as Becky, she revealed how much effort the soap went to ensure the "right Becky" was cast.
On her reaction when she first found out about the plot, Sydney told us: "I was like… as a ghost? And they were like no, like for real. I was like, okay! Wow! I was sceptical but it’s been in good hands.
"The casting for it has just been so meticulous and they wanted to get it so right. We did so many different screen tests and there were so many levels in finding the right Becky and she is just fabulous."
Hinting at a twist, she then shared with us: "I think the story is really interesting, it's juicy. I don't think it's going to follow the path people necessarily think it will." When we asked for a word to describe what was ahead on the show in the coming months, she simply said: "I'm gonna go with twist."
As we asked Sydney and her co-stars Ryan Mulvey and Cait Fitton if we could expect more twists ahead, they agreed. Cait added: "It's Corrie, ain't it," with Sydney replying: "Can you expect anything less? And we won best soap tonight."
On what's ahead for Cait's character Lauren Bolton after a dramatic couple of years, she teased: "Humour... which is quite a shock." Meanwhile, Brody Michaelis actor Ryan told us: "Excitement, excitement, excitement."
