Manchester United seem to be in a constant state of turmoil, with crises becoming a regular occurrence in recent years. The wave of optimism that washed over the club following an encouraging pre-season and several high-profile signings seems like a distant memory.
Despite a narrow 1-0 loss to Arsenal on the opening day offering some positives, the subsequent disappointments have far outweighed any initial hope. Ruben Amorim's tactical decisions continue to draw scrutiny, and a loss against Sunderland today could force the United board to reconsider his position as manager.
Ahead of Saturday's huge match, Mirror Football takes a look at some of the big calls Amorim needs to make and predicts how United could line up against Sunderland...

Goalkeeper Altay Bayindir is expected to retain his spot between the sticks for the Premier League match. He made a few commendable saves against Brentford last week, but was criticised for his handling of Mathias Jensen's added-time goal.
United's defence appeared shaky at the Gtech Community Stadium, prompting calls for their top defender, Leny Yoro, to return to the starting line-up alongside Matthijs de Ligt and Luke Shaw.
Amad is back in contention after missing last week's defeat due to a family bereavement. However, given Amorim's typically conservative team selections, it remains to be seen whether he will start or be named among the substitutes, potentially making way for Diogo Dalot.
Casemiro is set to return to the starting line-up following his suspension, with Bruno Fernandes expected to join him in midfield and Patrick Dorgu taking up a position on the left wing.
Last week saw Matheus Cunha, Benjamin Sesko and Bryan Mbeumo start together for the first time, showing promising signs. Sesko netted his debut goal for United, while Mbeumo and Cunha combined to win a penalty, unfortunately missed by Fernandes.
The trio are likely to be given another chance to impress as they aim to build on their encouraging first outing together.
Predicted XI: Bayindir, Yoro, De Ligt, Shaw, Dalot, Casemiro, Fernandes, Dorgu, Mbeumo, Cunha, Sesko.
