Police officers are investigating a mass at a high school on Wednesday that grievously injured three students, tragically killing one of them.
The violent episode unfolded at the close of the day at Santa Ana in near the campus and Heninger Elementary School, the police reported.
On Wednesday afternoon, the Santa Ana Police Department rushed to the high school shortly before 3.30pm local time after receiving reports of the stabbing.
All three victims were rushed to a nearby hospital.
The police confirmed that two were placed in stable condition by medical teams, but one of the teens sadly died while receiving care.

The circumstances leading up to the attack remain unclear, but the Santa Ana Unified School District has told ABC7 that gang involvement might be a factor.
Parents received a reassuring note from the district stating, "Please be assured that there is no immediate threat to the school or surrounding area," and emphasizing that "The safety and well-being of our students and staff remain our highest priority."
As of now, the police have not released any identifying details about the suspects, but have said they are looking for two other high school students in connection with the attack.
A spokesperson said: "Our officers are working closely with Santa school police to locate the suspects. We believe there are two that are outstanding," but said they were unsure if they were also Santa Ana students. She added that the assailants had escaped on foot and no weapons had been recovered.
Nonetheless, the police suspect that both the assailant and the victims are students from the high school and have assured that there is no further danger to the public, reports
In the wake of the stabbing, the district has cancelled all after-school activities for the remainder of the day.
They further stated that grief counsellors would be on hand for students and staff come Thursday.
CBS's aerial footage displayed the crime scene situated at the school's main entrance, with numerous officers present and police tape sealing off the vicinity.
