FPV DRONE BY INDIAN ARMY: Operation Sindoor defeated the technology of China and Pakistan together. The anti-drone system did not allow a single attack to succeed. India's indigenous companies are making their mark, the army is also leaving no stone unturned. The Indian Army has prepared the most dangerous drone of today's era. The army has made FPV drones i.e. First Person View Drones. The Fleur-de-Lis Brigade of the 9th Corps of the Indian Army developed it in collaboration with the Terminal Ballistic Research Laboratory (TBRL) Chandigarh. Many successful tests were conducted and the result was tremendous. After this, it was also included in the army. With 400 grams of explosives, it can easily target any target. The attack on Russia's Airbus once again proved the power of FPV drones. This drone is very special and effective in the era of asymmetric warfare. The FPV drone made by the Indian Army is equipped with Kamikaze Anti-Tank Munition. This is the first project of its kind in the Indian Army.

Features of Indian FPV drone
This project was started in August 2024. The entire drone is assembled at the Rising Star Drone Battle School. More than 100 drones have been manufactured by March 2025. The cost of each drone is Rs 1,40,000. Currently, 5 FPV drones have been inducted into the army, and 95 are yet to be received. This drone has a dual safety mechanism for the payload to ensure the safety of the operator. Prevents any accidental blast during transportation, handling, and flight. It can only be activated by the drone pilot. Apart from this, a live feedback relay system gives the pilot real-time updates about the status of the payload through FPV goggles. This helps in making correct and fast decisions while flying the drone. Usually, the range of an FPV drone is said to be 6 to 7 kilometers. No command and control center is required to operate this drone. It can be operated even by sitting in any bunker just 3 to 5 kilometers away from the enemy territory.

Drone is the king of asymmetric warfare.

In the era of non-contact warfare, drones are more useful than long-range weapons. An FPV worth just 500 dollars destroyed an aircraft worth crores. This is called asymmetric warfare. Apart from this, even if a large air defense missile is used to stop a drone attack, it proves to be an expensive deal. The specialty of FPV is that drone targets can be launched from a distance and can also be operated from just a few kilometers away. Launching and operating an FPV is just like playing a video game. The camera installed in the drone makes the attack easy for the operator. All the Russian aircraft that were hit by drone attacks were on the wings. The reason for this is that the fuel of all aircraft is on the wings only. This makes it clear how cleanly the operation can be carried out using FPV.
