Charlie Kirk's family are grappling with the devastating task of explaining to their children that "daddy isn't coming home", following his tragic death, according to a political influencer.
Jack Posobiec, a contentious contributor to Kirk's Turning Point USA organisation, revealed today that Kirk's family has been struggling in the aftermath of his assassination.
Kirk was fatally shot during an event at Utah Valley University, with the horrifying incident witnessed by thousands of attendees. The news comes as the FBI issues major update as authorities 'have video of gunman'.
Mr Posobiec stated: "Erika is unbelievably strong. At the same time someone's going to have to explain to his son and daughter why their dad didn't come home yesterday."
In conversation with NewsNation, he added: "Erika is a prayer warrior, her and Charlie are very devout believers, they are very very deeply Christian. When you see the cameras turn off, the lights go down, they immediately go back to faith - this is something they live 24/7.
"It is not something that only exists in front of the camera, that is something that they absolutely walk every single day. Because they have that firm reliance in faith, Erika has that ability to be able to go through this with that kind of strength that really only comes from heaven.", reportsthe Mirror.
Erika recently initiated a ministry programme titled, BIBLEin365, which, according to its website, "seeks to help individuals engage with scriptures."
Her biography read: "Above all, Erika cherishes her role as the wife of Charlie Kirk and the mother of their precious son and daughter.
"As she continues to grow in her ministry, leadership, and entrepreneurial endeavours, Erika remains committed to inspiring others to live with purpose, rooted in faith, and driven by the love of Christ in every aspect of life."
Utah Department of Public Safety Commissioner Beau Mason expressed her devastation, stating that she and the family were "devastated."
The couple, who celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary in May, have two children.
The young family was dealt a devastating blow yesterday following the assassination of Kirk. The conservative influencer was tragically shot in the neck and succumbed to his injuries shortly after.
A nationwide manhunt has been initiated to locate an individual of interest sought by the FBI. A staggering reward of up to £73,000 has been offered for any information leading to an arrest.
