'Cosy and stylish' Regatta jacket that's 'warm not heavy' now almost half price

When it comes to high quality, durable outerwear, Regatta is well-known for its selection of warm and waterproof clothing. Shoppers have found a jacket from the outdoor clothing brand that they say keeps them warm without being too heavy and still looks stylish too.

The Regatta Women's Nurie Quilted Jacket in Dark Khaki is reduced to £72, from £120, and shoppers can also get an extra 15% off with the code AUTUMN15. When the further saving is applied, this brings it down to nearly half price at £61.20.

This coat comes in a few colours besides for the dark khaki, including light vanilla, black and green, which are also all currently reduced. For sizing, shoppers can choose from eight up to 20 and this jacket has a double water repellent finish, making it able to stand up to wetter days.

It features medium-weight, feather free down, so is ethically sound and has an internal security pocket for keeping valuables tucked away. There are also two lower zipped pockets on the outside of the coat for additional space for tissues, or storing dog treats on a walk.

Due to its long length, legs will be toasty and protected and a cosy hood with fleece lining and a fold down collar adds to the warmth factor.

Other winter warming options include the Burgundy Shower Resistant Padded Hooded Coat from Next, which is £65. This coat is machine washable and is also a long length, with a hood and regular and petite sizing available.

Another brand renowned for their sturdy outerwear is Mountain Warehouse, who have the Nola Womens Long Padded Jacket for £129.99, so on the higher end of the fashion budget. This is available in light beige and black (discounted to £79.99 at the time of writing). This jacket is made with synthetic insulation, has zipped pockets and a faux-fur hood. It sits below the hips and Mountain Warehouse says is treated with Durable Water Repellent (DWR).

Regatta customers have left feedback on their purchases, with one five star review titled 'cosy and stylish' saying: "Beautiful, warm but not too heavy. The shade of cream is really nice. My favourite winter piece so far."

Shoppers who wear it when walking their dogs were happy, with one saying: "Bought this last week and I love it. It is so warm and great when walking the dogs. It is on the big size, but I don't mind that with a jumper underneath.

Another customer said: "Fantastic deal on this Regatta showerproof coat. Lovely & long but not too long as I'm only 5'1". Zip can open from the bottom so you are not restricted when bending down or climbing over stiles walking my dog. Very happy with my purchase."

Drawbacks for some were around sizing, with one person saying: "Lovely coat but unfortunately had to sent back it was very big sent for smaller size but all sold out." Another shopper explained: "Love it but the sizes are massive I got a 12 but it's more like a 14/16."
