Emmerdale fans work out Kev's 'secret son' and he's already in the village

Emmerdale fans reckon newcomer Kev Townsend could be harbouring a huge secret in the ITV soap - that he actually has a teenage son. Kev met Robert Sugden in prison and the pair went on to tie the knot after striking up a romance - one that Robert is still trying desperately to hide from his partner Aaron Dingle.

But fans think Kev might already have another link to the Yorkshire village - his son. Speculation is rife that April's boyfriend Dylan could be in some way related to Kev based on their similar looks, with one Reddit user posting: "I saw a tweet suggesting Dylan could be Kev's son (or relation of some sort) based on their similar ears. I just feel like it could actually make me care about Dylan (who I don't care for currently) and give Kev something to stick around for after Aaron/Robert's 'affair' comes out."

One X user has pointed out: "Is Dylan Kev's son? They have very similar ears!"

Someone else argued: "Problem is Kev has been in prison since 2002, so Dylan couldn't be any younger than 23. So unless he was a sperm donor or something, I don't see how that's feasible."

Another echoed: "It could be interesting, but the word is that Chris has already finished filming for Kev. Also, it's nice having characters that are magically related to another, they already did that with Tracy and Vanessa."

And someone else posted: "Fred Kettle, who plays Dylan, was born in 2007, while Kev has been in prison since 2002. So I don't think it's very likely. Not to mention that if they age Dylan up to be that much older than his actor, the relationship with 16-year-old April becomes intensely problematic."

Other theories circulating about Kev include him potentially being related to Lee Posner, the rapist who assaulted Victoria Sugden. One social media user suggested: "Call me crazy and it's probably not even true but I've had this thought about Kev for days now. What if he's somehow linked to Lee? Could be why he knows of Vic & Harry & has took a shine to Rob? Also now with this Isabel article & the big twist leading to her exit?"

"Oh god but that would be a really good twist to this story. Vic wouldn't be able to handle it if Robert got hurt in prison because of someone connected to Lee," another agreed.
