King Charles has been urged to abandon "peace talks" with Prince Harry amid reports that the pair could be set to meet "within weeks". The King, 76, has experienced a fractured relationship with his youngest son since he made the decision to step away from royal duties in 2020.

Harry, 40, has since aired his frustrations over his experience of royal life on various occasions, including through televised interviews and his bombshell memoir Spare. He has, however, expressed his desire to reconcile and, according to a source, the King is also keen not to "throw the key away" when it comes to their fractured relationship. Following pictures having emerged of aides from both sides meeting up, reports suggest that Harry could be set to meet with his father in a visit to the UK in September.

The royal could be set to travel to Britain for the WellChild Awards, which he has attended for many years, and has been voiced as a perfect opportunity for him to meet with the King.

Following reports of a potential meeting, fans have expressed whether they think it is a good idea for the father-son duo to reconcile.

In a poll conducted by the Express, which ran between 10.10am on June 14 and 3.20pm on June 15, 11,238 fans shared their opinion when asked if the King should meet with Harry.

9,317 voted that the pair shouldn't reconcile, whilst just 1,475 said they thought they should. On the other hand, 446 voted that they were undecided.

Taking to the comment section, one fan wrote: "It's between the parties to decide, however, I most certainly would NOT like to see him and that wife of his as working royals again..."

Another claimed: "No Reconciliation. Harry just wants more ammunition for his next book, or Netflix deal. What else can he do? He has no talent outside of being a prince..."

Agreeing, another simply wrote: "No."
