People with visual impairment, vision loss or high myopia could be entitled to additional financial support through Personal Independence Payment (PIP) or Adult Disability Payment (ADP). The latest data from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) show that at the end of April, 58,960 people were getting payments of as much as £187.45 a week (or £749 a month) through PIP.
Across Britain there are around two million people living with a sight impairment or a degenerative eye condition who may not be aware of the extra financial help designed to assist with additional daily living costs or mobility needs.
