host was floored on Friday's episode of the game show (May 2) after a player's unbelievable performance on the game show. Four new contestants joined the former Coronation Street star to take on one of Britain's biggest brainiacs and take home a huge cash prize, including Jayne, Tom, Amy and Pete. First up was Pete, 52, a Chartered Financial Planner from Wiltshire.

He stunned both Bradley and viewers at home when he managed to answer 10 questions correctly, bringing a record-breaking £10k prize in the cash builder. His teammates were heard saying "that's amazing" as a stunned Bradley said "Are you cheating? Ten grand! Amazing cash builder. Brilliant." As he teased which chaser would be taking on the contestants, Bradley added: "Let's see who were taking on today - I don't think it matters!"

Anne 'The Governess' Hegerty finally appeared as Friday's chaser as she swiftly praised his performance as "impressive" and said she hoped the other players weren't as good as him.

But luck soon ran out for the contestants as player Amy was booted off, swiftly followed by Tom, who tried to take his £3k cash builder prize.

It was down to Jayne to join Pete in the final after taking on Anne but she soon ruffled feathers with fans after accepting an offer from Anne for minus £2k, taking the prize pot down from £10k to £8k should she win.

"Pete's fuming - he could win this final on his own without that stupid old cow - and minus 2 f*****g grand!..." slammed one fan.

Ultimately, Jayne did make it back, reducing the prize pot and sending fans into a fury.

"No don't praise yourself for being a robbing bleeder," a fan irked. Another slammed her for admitting she "wasn't their for the money" after revealing her profession as a banker, blasting: "Hope she's out. She might not be there for the money but what about the other team member that she's taking 2 grand off???"

More chimed in, adding: "Pete could've played for his ten grand, now he might take home £4k because of that selfish specimen," and "If They win I feel sorry for Pete. From winning his own 10 grand to sharing 4 grands with that lady who takes 2 grand away from him."

The duo managed to score 15 points in the final chase as Anne was hot on their heels declaring they were "unlucky" and were "thrown off" by several questions.

Anne scored 18 with 16 seconds remaining, sending the pair home with nothing.
