Jaipur: Three people were burnt alive after a head-on collision between two trucks on the Rawatsar-Sardarshahar Mega Highway in Hanumangarh's Rawatsar area. The accident took place around 6pm Saturday.
Rawatsar SHO Ramchandra Kaswan said that the mishap occurred around 6pm when the two trucks collided head-on near Dhannasar village. A loud explosion followed the collision, and both vehicles were engulfed in flames. Upon receiving information, teams from Rawatsar police station and Dhannasar police outpost rushed to the spot.
Three people sitting inside the trucks were burnt alive in the fire. Fire tenders, along with local villagers using their private tankers, tried to douse the flames. One truck was loaded with bricks and the other with gravel. Those who were killed were residents of Nagaur and Churu districts.
