Bhilwara: Former Union minister Kailash Choudhary Saturday accused opposition parties of spreading confusion about the amended Waqf law across the country. Speaking of the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, he said Pakistan will now be answered with "missiles instead of stones" and that such a scenario is already being seen in the houses of terrorists being demolished.
Addressing a Waqf Reform Public Awareness Workshop at the BJP office in Bhilwara, the former MP of Barmer accused Congress national president Mallikarjun Kharge of being involved in occupying Waqf properties. He claimed that Kharge encroached on 30,000 acres of land in Karnataka and "is the biggest looter of Waqf land and property".
"Public awareness is required on laws enacted on triple talaq, CAA, and now the amendments to the Waqf law. The opposition creates a narrative whenever a law beneficial to the country is introduced, and they oppose it. They have resolved to oppose any good law that benefits the country and earns praise for PM Narendra Modi. The opposition is only focused on opposing Modi," said Chaudhary.
Notable among those who attended the event included Bhilwara MP Damodar Agrawal and BJP district president Prashant Mewara. Representatives from social organisations and members of the minority community were also present.
