The University of Mumbai has commenced the pre-registration process for undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) admissions for the 2025-26 academic year. Aspirants seeking admission to arts, commerce, science, engineering, and management courses in colleges affiliated with Mumbai University can now begin the application process.
As per the latest guidelines, it is now mandatory for all applicants to generate an Academic Bank of Credit (ABC) ID to complete the pre-registration process. The directive follows the University Grants Commission (UGC) rule implemented in 2023, which requires ABC ID for all college admissions.

Step 2. Visit the MU admission portal at mu.ac.in/admission and complete the registration using a valid email ID and mobile number.
Step 3. Provide accurate personal information, including name, permanent address, educational qualification, caste, and category details, matching those on the Aadhaar card.
Step 4. Upload necessary documents, including a photograph and a signature, as per the instructions on the portal, and submit the application.
For PG admissions, applicants must indicate the specific course they are applying for during pre-admission registration. It is also mandatory to link the ABC ID through the Samarth portal during the post-registration process.
