“Going to be a tough fight”: American Rapper Snoop Dogg shares honest view on Los Angeles Lakers' fate in 1st round Playoff

American Rapper Snoop Dogg, known for being an ardent supporter of the Los Angeles Lakers, recently attended an ESPN show and talked about his favorite team’s chances in the playoffs. He startled everyone by calling it a tough fight for the Lakers. He also relied on the Clippers to make the path clear for his favorite team. The Lakers have evened the series 1-1 against the Minnesota Timberwolves till now.

The 2025 NBA Playoffs are being talked about everywhere. ESPN recently invited American Rapper Snoop Dogg to discuss the ongoing playoffs. The rapper, known for being an ardent Los Angeles Lakers fan, gave an honest view on the Los Angeles Lakers’ chances of making it to the next round of the playoffs. Speaking about his expectations from the Lakers in the playoffs, he said:


“I mean I trust the Lakers cuz that's my squad but Golden State got an easier path if you ask me the team they playing against is a little less experienced when it comes to like these types of games you seen that when they played in game one and I think the team that we playing against is way more experienced because they went you know last year and played against Luca and them and got hit..”








He continued, “but that I feel like Anthony and the team is like jelling and they getting stronger and stronger so we up against a harder opponent but we supposed to win you know we got Luca we got LeBron we got the prestige of the Lakers organization so I feel like we going to get out we going to get out but it's going to be a fight it's going to be a tough fight.”


When asked, “What are your expectations for the Lakers this postseason?” He responded:


“To play hard and get as far as they can get.” He further elaborated:


“I think they can go all the way; we just got to regroup.. when we look good we look good.. you talking about championship… all the way rings i got these rings on for a reason that's what we do… we represent rings and things”



Snoopy Dog shared opinion on Golden State Warriors - Los Angeles Lakers matchup



He was asked about a possible matchup between the Golden State Warriors and the Los Angeles Lakers in the same show. He responded, saying:


“I like that matchup you like that match up, i really do ..i like it cuz they they overconfident right now cuz they they hit us last time to get that spirit to get in the playoffs remember they were struggling to get in while we was coasting and they hit us but to me that's like sometimes you could burn out i think a burnout is coming..”








When asked to comment on the Clippers, he commented:


“I’m more confident in the Lakers, but I need the Clippers to handle our dirty work for us i need them to go out there and take care of Denver first and then take care of OKC so we can have a nothing but smooth sailing..”



With all his comments about the Lakers, he has shown how ardent a fan he is of the team. The Lakers stand third in the Western Conference with 50-32. After the last two playoff games against the Timberwolves, their result is 1-1. Lakers-Minnesota Game 3 and Game 4 will be played in Minnesota.
