NEW DELHI: A Goa (Mopa)-bound flight of IndiGo diverted safely to Mumbai late on Wednesday night after the Airbus A320NEO (VT-IZB) reportedly suffered one engine failure. Twin engine jets can land safely on one engine and this one did so at Mumbai. The flight, 6E-6271, had taken off from Delhi at 8.02 pm for Mopa.
“One engine of the aircraft failed and a decision was made to divert to Mumbai. Full emergency was declared at Mumbai Airport . The aircraft landed safely at 9.52 pm,” said sources.
